Champoeg Farm birds that are moved daily across the pastures of the small family farm in St. Paul, Oregon where they are raised and spend their entire lives. From the time they are day-old chicks until they are processed in the on-farm facility, the birds live in open paddocks and are moved to fresh forage frequently.
GROUND TURKEY BREAST comes from whole muscle breast and tenders, this is a 100% light meat version of the 70/30 blend from Champoeg. It is very lean and works wonderfully in soups and sauces. Unseasoned and without additives.
GROUND TURKEY, DARK MEAT is a blend of approximately 70% dark meat and 30% white meat from whole muscles. Flavorful and nutrient dense, we especially like it in this quick, tasty Turkey Chili from the New York Times and Pierre Franey.

The Anderson family has deep roots in the Champoeg area, first settling on the French Prairie in 1856. Besides operating a sawmill on Champoeg Creek and a bowling alley in the now shuttered town, the family grazed turkeys in the oak grove for the holiday market.
