Champoeg Farm birds that are moved daily across the pastures of the small family farm in St. Paul, Oregon where they are raised and spend their entire lives. From the time they are day-old chicks until they are processed in the on-farm facility, the birds live in open paddocks and are moved to fresh forage frequently.
GROUND TURKEY, WHITE MEAT comes from white meat trim from whole muscles including the breast and tenders. A 100% light meat version of the 70/30 blend from Champoeg, this white meat blend is very lean and works wonderfully in soups and sauces. Unseasoned and without additives.
GROUND TURKEY, DARK MEAT is a blend of approximately 70% dark meat and 30% white meat from whole muscles. Flavorful and nutrient dense, we especially like it in this quick, tasty Turkey Chili from the New York Times and Pierre Franey.
Each bundle contains five 1-pound packages, individually vaccuum-sealed and flas frozen to lock in peak freshness.
